About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Walk the desert

ABOUT ME

The kind who has difficulty stuffing himself into boxes like this. I'll work on it, but in the meantime ask me anything and I'll tell you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm a new member. Open to ideas...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm new to Couchsurfing as a member myself, but I have surfed (Toronto, Montreal, Seattle, Portland, Eureka, Lexington, various places in Mexico) and hosted (Cincinnati, Guadalajara) with others. I love this philosophy and this community, and I'm happy to add my beets to the borscht!

Interests

So many things! Here's a simple list while I work on something more interesting: human geography and social theory (especially issues of power, justice, hope, love, marginalization, the politics of everyday life, inclusion, and creativity), learning about other people, art and creative practice, wandering around, making things out of clay, aikido, good poetry, traveling, psychology, expressing myself through objects, conversation, the unexpected and invisible...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One time a hummingbird hovered in front of my face for about 20 seconds and looked me in the eyes.
