About Me

Recently moved from Minneapolis, MN to Guadalajara, MX. Currently teaching Kindergarten at an international school. Previously I taught first grade at an International school in San Pedro Sula, Honduras for 2 years.

I'm a fun loving, adventure-seeker. I love to experience new things and get to know new people and cultures. I'm a very outgoing person and I'd like to think I'm friendly. ;) There's so many people on this Earth, it's always exciting to meet another. People are so interesting.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In college, one of my former Spanish professors mentioned couchsurfing and a wonderful experience he had in Portugal. With this, I decided to give couchsurfing a try!

I've hosted and surfed, and all experiences I have had were pretty awesome. I hope to meet more fantastic people as I continue with this site!

Music, Movies, and Books

Doctor Who fan.

I really enjoy dark movies, Marvel, and almost anything with Bill Murray. Of course I'm down for a Rom Com every now and then as well.

Music: I try to keep an open mind and listen to a variety of music. I particularly love Indie Rock, Punk Rock, Alternative, and Classical

Books: I enjoy anything by Chimamanda Ngozie Adiche. I also like reading political and social commentary and memoirs. Recently finished Trevor Noah's Born a Crime and loved it. Currently Reading Obama's Dreams From My Father.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I guess the most amazing thing I've done was swim under a waterfall in the Ecuadorian Amazon and climb an active volcano called Cotopaxi. Me encanta Ecuador.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: There are nice people in this world that you can trust staying at your house. I can also teach you a few Spanish phrases to help you get by in your travels. I love to cook and eat as well.

Learn: Anything and everything. The coolest thing about teachers is that we love to learn and continue improving ourselves.

Share: Beer and conversation! I love sharing beers (or coffee if you don't drink) and talking about life. You can learn so much through just a simple conversation.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Beer and good conversation! I love beer and chatting with new people. We all turn life into our own adventure and I love hearing other people's stories.

Countries I’ve Visited

Bolivia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Peru, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
