Overview
About Me
I've been living in the Middle East for the last 4 years. I really enjoy other cultures and exploring the world. I used to work as a humanitarian aid worker but now I'm an English teacher. I think it's more fun.
I love music of all kinds and will be very happy if you can introduce me to your latest favorite music.
I love nothing more than riding a bike as far as I possibly can or hiking a new trail into the mountains.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Haven't tried it before, but seems like an awesome way to meet other fun and interesting people, get some local knowledge and travel affordably.
And to reciprocate when you can.

Music, Movies, and Books
Hmm... I love so many different kinds: from chill stuff like Ben Howard and Lord Huron, to hip hop, to rock (Led Zeppelin, Nirvana, U2, VAST) to electronica (Blackmill, Orbital, Daft Punk) to whatever else (Alt-J, Afro Celt Soundsystem, the 1975, Jose Gonzalez, etc.).
Movies: I love action and spy movies like the Bourne Trilogy. Also love future dystopian movies. I can enjoy an artsy/foreign film too.
Books: It's my guilty secret that I am a true fantasy junkie (in the vein of Lord of the Rings).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the things I'm most proud of is spending a year in Yemen studying Arabic. It was an amazing experience. The country is beautiful and the people are absolutely amazing.
