About Me

I'm a traveling professional ESL teacher in Colombia. I'm looking to explore as much of the world as possible (while on a budget)!
Update: Long time no see! I'm currently living and working at a hostel near Santa Marta, Colombia called The Valley Tayrona. Look us up and let me know if you'd like to come explore the area 😄

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I started my account because I was traveling to Costa Rica and needed a place to stay. I've since seen how wonderful and organic experiences can be getting to know others and sharing your life and culture with them. So I'm looking forward to more adventures in my future travels via Couchsurfing.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: indie, electronic, rock, metal, pop...frankly, I love music. I'll name a few bands/artists. Sufjan Stevens, Marina and the Diamonds, Lady Gaga, Protest the Hero, Tesseract, Andrew Bird, the Seratones, the Revivalists, Eden, Elohim - a few of my go-to's lately. I'm always looking to discover new jams.
Movies: I watch a lot of drama and scifi/superhero flicks. Eastern Promises, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, the Marvel movies, Wonder Woman, Justice League, AI, and pretty much anything indie is up my ally. I'll watch most anything, as long as it isn't painfully trope-ridden.
Books: Fantasy, Scifi, Lit Fiction - the Wheel of Time Series, His Dark Materials, Ender's Game/Speaker for the Dead/Ender in Exile, Noticia de un Secuestro (still reading but greatly enjoying), El Tunel, Norwegian Wood, to name a few.

What I Can Share with Hosts

If you're looking to practice your English, I would be happy to act as a conversation partner for you. I like baking and food in general so if you supply the ingredients, I could cook. I can give books that I have read (I'm a big fan of book exchanges) and movie recommendations according to your taste. I'm generally very laid back and open so I'd love to swap stories and get to know my host better.
