About Me

I'm a 27 year old Australian. I grew up in the country and studied biology at University here in Canberra. I've traveled a lot in Australia and done a trip to South America. I work in ecological agriculture and spend my free time rock climbing and meditating.

Canberra is my favourite city in Australia because of the tremendous open spaces and relaxing lifestyle. Canberra is Australia's largest inland City and our best example of a planned city. In some ways it has the advantages of a small town and in others the advantages of a city. It smells better than other Australian cities and you get a pretty good view of the sky living here too haha. The whole thing is designed for bicycles and we've also got convenient access to some awesome wilderness areas.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to meet international travelers and show people around Australia. I've been very lucky in life so I try to give what I can. So many people were very generous to me when I backpacked in South America. I hope to pass their generosity on.

However, I prefer couchers.org to couchsurfing.com; this is a beautiful community of international generosity and deserves a benevolent, not-for-profit moderator to match. See my 'you should know' section for more info.

Music, Movies, and Books

At the moment I have a lot of books to read for work. I mostly read science and history books only occasionally literature or novels. My favourite music is alt country music at the moment.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent a month living in a peasant village in the Amazon once. It was all the more amazing that they let me stay even though I was crap at carrying bananas through the jungle.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm keen to meet other natural science people to learn off. I'm in to permaculture if you've got relevant skills I'd greatly appreciate input.
Me gusta aprender español y puedo enseñar ingles de Australia.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, China, Colombia, Cuba, Peru, United States
