About Me
I would identify myself as a world citizen. I'm from Germany but I´m barely here. Since 2021 I lived in South-East Africa for 2.5 years to work as a full-time volunteer for AIESEC, a youth-run leadership organization. Since April I've been back in Germany to complete my studies in Hamburg in between small travels around Europe.
I´m passionate about youth leadership and am hoping to work at the UN one day, making an impact here in the region in the field of sexual and reproductive health.
In general, I'm a curious person, a fan of deep conversations, open to spontaneous ideas and adventures, and a big foodie (I'm vegetarian, one of my hosts told me I should mention it here to warn you haha, tho I'm very uncomplicated and don't mind if you eat meat haha)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When I did my first road trip around Southern Africa in March 2024, I fell in love with Couchsurfing.
During the last few years, I realized that I don't like traveling as a tourist seeing all the sightseeing attractions. What I enjoy is understanding more about the country, culture, and people by living the daily local life with them. That's why I mainly traveled to places before where I had friends, visiting them.
On our trip through Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Botswana, South Africa, and Eswatini, me and my friend tried Couchsurfing for the first since we didn't know people to host us there and it made our journey very special. We met interesting people, had wonderful experiences, and created unforgettable memories.
After leaving Mozambique I did a second Couchsurfing trip around Morocco in May 2024 as a break before going back to Germany. I met lots of people, had great conversations to understand the country and its culture better, and they showed me around.
My last trip was in August/September 2024. For six weeks I travelled Turkey and had amazing experiences with many different Couchsurfers, maybe my best CS trip so far.
When travelling I'm curious to see the country through your eyes, for you to give me some insights into your culture, maybe explore a bit or do some great activities together. I'm a big fan of deep conversations and shared memories by having a fun time together. But I am also looking forward to having some time off for self-reflection and to work on some personal things.
Just let me know what you´re up to and I'm really curious to meet you.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm not the biggest movie fan since I prefer having conversations and usually also don't even find the time to spend watching movies or series. But if you find me watching a movie after all, it's most likely on a flight and a movie based on a real story. I can recommend Desert Flower about the life of Waris Dirie for example😉
That's also the type of books I read, tho I'm right now trying to dive into leadership books.
My all-time favorite is audiobooks tho, getting lost in a story while doing anything else like cooking, cleaning, laundry, ...
In terms of Music East Africa fully got me with Afro Pop and Beats (sorry, but I never learned to adapt to Amapiano in the south🙈)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Well, I actually just planned to do a six-week volunteering project in a school in Kilimanjaro, Tanzania. Eventually, I ended up staying there for six months instead, extending my stay to do another internship in Zanzibar. Since then I've been to Tanzania I think two more times (I'm not even sure😅) and ended up staying in the region🥰
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm always curious about learning about different countries, cultures, and lifestyles.
Therefore, it doesn't need a lot for me, but what I enjoy most is engaging in daily life in different places. Having conversations, exploring the way things go in another country, nothing fancy, just going with the flow, learning the local language, food, drinks, and peculiarities.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm always happy to share my experiences from my life in different places and listen to your stories while sipping a nice drink together (alcoholic or not) or trying some local vegetarian food.
Oh, and I got some sweets from my last road trip through Scandinavia I can share hahaha.
