About Me

Hey! I am Vanessa, 21 years old, living in Frankfurt, Germany.
I love traveling, and as soon as I get back to Germany I already miss the places I've never been to ;) Is it the same for you? Leave a message and if possible I will host you at my place in Frankfurt !
In 2016/17 I've been living in India for my volunteering and since then always missing it, there I was using couch-surfing the first time and I was amazed how well it is working and happy how many kind people I met.
I am uncomplicated, open for new things, new cultures and always looking forward to meet new people and listen to their stories and experiences. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couchsurfing because I want to meet new people. I believe in giving and sharing and that money shouldn't be neccessary for travelling. Also I love the cultural exchange from which everyone will grow. Couchsurfing offers me to find people who are also open-minded, friendly and not too shy to get in touch with strangers, their stories, culture and life.

Interests

Obviously I love traveling, to see nice places, to get to know different cultures and to meet people and have nice conversations.
I like going out for a walk, to concerts (more classical or instrumental Concerts, especially Klezmer but I am also open to something new!) cafes and parks.
Recently I am trying to learn Spanish and I'm aiming to become fluent some day! :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Klezmer, it's jewish traditional music often with Violin or Clarinet as melody instrument, I love it's joy and melancholy.

Seriously I am so bad at Genres and I listen to music with the thought "I listen to what I like". The music I listen to is a mix of different Genres.

I sometimes watch movies and since I just returned from India I love and recommend the move "Lion" which is about a boy who gets lost in his childhood and after years returns back to India after he grew up in Australia. Such a touching movie!

Recently I read many books by Paulo Coelo but further I liked:
Die Bücherdiebin (the bookthief)
Desert Flower
The Glass Castle
Èanna
In One Person
Me Before You

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think we should learn to appreciate every small moment/travel and make each of them amazing, and we should not looking forward for the day when we live/do something amazing.

Life is now

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some German or how to make dreadlocks! ;-)

I can share my good mood, my thoughts and hopefully a lot of joy with you!
You can play the piano or guitar? Nice, you're free to use mine and make me feel happy to listen to some self made Music at my place. :-)

When I am staying with you or you with me I'd like to learn about your culture, what you're interested in and enjoy the time.
