About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Fix old houses and taking care of my 3 girls how is 16, 17 and 19 years old

ABOUT ME

I like to be near to the sea, and walk on the beach. I worked as a fisherman for 12 years and could not say goodbye to the water. Now I like to tour around Iceland and get to know my country even better, especially in wintertime. Everything is better when the cold changes all colors and sound in the nature.
During the week I work and fix up mostly old houses or help building new ones. I try to take care of the nature in Iceland and that´s why I try to find work in some environmental branche. I can´t answer messenger on CS so pleas don´t send me ´messenger, only request

PHILOSOPHY

Just live your life now, you only have one.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Although Couchsurfing is new to me I think the spirit of the project really suits me. I already showed several people around my country whom I met during travelling. I hope by participating I can share my love for Iceland with even more people and hope to discover countries and cultures in a new way by also surfing myself.

Music, Movies, and Books

In general: Scandinavian books, movies and tv-series. The last book I read was ´the girl who plays with fire´ from Stig Larsson.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once I saw an eagle catch a salmon, the fish was almost as big as the bird and it was amazing to see this struggle of life happen before my eyes.
Funny fact: the fish was swimming in a river where people pay a lot of money to fish for salmon, so we see nature always wins in the end.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to share the history and nature of Iceland.
