About Me

** Event that sparked the spirit **

I had my first trip as a Couchsurfer in November 2018 when I visited Spain and it was amazing. I received so much hospitality and care that I wanted to start contributing to this community right away. I got to know about couchsurfing from a friend in Aachen in mid Summer 2018, but, after experiencing it myself, I am a fully committed member now.

++ About me ++

I am a Masters graduate of Mechanical Engineering from RWTH Aachen University. People who know me say that i am a conversationalist, always ready for a chat over a coffee or dinner or a walk whatever possible. I like dancing (recently started learning Salsa and Forro, and totally had a crush on it :D) and I enjoy hiking and long walks with friends or strangers (we become friends during the hike :D)

I love to travel (who doesn't). If money was no issue, I would go to every city of each country in the world and try all the foods there :D.

Sharing stories and experiences, listening to different perspectives, exchanging motivational ideas, and getting to know interesting people excites me the most, and have broadened my perspective alot about people and cultures in the past 3 years that I have lived in Germany. 😃

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Travelling allows you to visit beautiful places and admire the architecture, landscapes and food, take lots of selfies and stuff. But what's more attractive for me is experiencing the lifstyle, culture and values. In short living it like a local even if its for a couple of days.

The best way to do so is through couch surfing. You will meet interesting people, have nice conversation, share your experiences, learn some useful tips and hacks about the place and offcourse make friends.

I travelled to a few countries without using couchsurfing and the experience was a bit shallow. Even after booking good hostels in the city centre, the welcoming feeling you get from a couchsurfing host was not there.

My first two trips I did as a couchsurfer taught me the true feeling of joy which people get by helping and comforting others. I am starting hosting right away to support this community and experience that feeling :)

Interests

I like to listen to music but no specific genre. Listening to alot of 90's rock these days.

I am a fan of super hero movies, action, thriller, comedy pretty much everthing if the storyline and direction is good.

Recently started this new hobby of dancing and learning Forro!

I wish I had the words to express how much i love food. It is one of the most important element of every culture and my favourite hobby is trying all of them. :D

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - Hip-hop, Trance, Rock, Techno, Folk, all kinds of Latin Music, pretty much everything depending upon the mood.

Books - The Alchemist, Prisonar of Zenda, Finite Element Methods, Tensor Algebra 😅 i have enough course books that i should read.

Movies - Interstellar, The Martian, Fault in our Stars, Gravity, Inception, Shutter Island, The Prestige, Triangel, Mission Impossible series, The Expandable series, all Super hero movies (both Marvel and DC), and many more. We can talk about it for days if there is nothing else to talk about!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travel through Spain for 1 week, with really small backpack (check the album).
Also, one time I forgot the pin code of my credit card while travelling through Italy, so I had to make things work with very little cash that I had. That was pretty amazing too :p

Teach, Learn, Share

In learning you will teach, and in teaching you will learn!

I can share/teach you whatever I know. Language, cooking, dance moves (although I am still a beginner 🙈).

I am interested in learning anything and everything that I haven't tried or I tried and really liked. So bring out the uniqueness in you and together we grow.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Cultural insight, sharing of personal experiences, a nice conversation and a helping hand for house chores.

Some dance moves of Forro!

Ohh, and i love to eat and cook, and would like to cook and share some of my regional foods.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Spain, Vatican City State

Countries I’ve Lived In

Germany, Pakistan
