Overview
About Me
I was born into a large family, a passion for storytelling ignited at a young age, fueled by a voracious appetite for literature ranging from classic tales to science fiction and horror. This early literary exploration laid the foundation for a lifelong dedication to writing and creative expression.
A deep fascination with diverse cultures and languages propelled extensive travel. A formative experience as a teenage exchange student in Germany broadened perspectives and fostered a profound appreciation for global connections. This immersion in a different culture sparked a desire to understand and connect with people from all walks of life.
This passion for connection extended beyond geographical boundaries, leading to involvement in community service and a desire to contribute meaningfully to society. An innate drive to create and share stories eventually led to exploring the performing arts. Embracing theater, writing plays, and directing became avenues for artistic expression and engaging with audiences.
The realization that storytelling could be a powerful tool for connection and influence inspired a shift towards screenwriting. This transition allowed for the merging of literary skills with a visual medium, aiming to create narratives that resonate on a broader scale.
Currently, the focus remains on writing for the screen and I have 3 novels published with another in the works.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Last year I traveled 119 days (Scotland, England, Germany, Taiwan, Korea, back to Germany, Georgia, Texas and recently San Francisco) watching dogs and cats and caring for people's homes while they were away. I found myself immersed in cultures I'd never known or in places I'd wanted to visit. I was very inspired and wrote a lot. I want to continue to write and explore. I feel a deep connection with the world and want to see as much of it as I can.
