Overview
About Me
Hola! I’m Alice, a friendly and positive traveller from Australia. I have recently moved to Valencia, Spain.
I love meeting people from different cultures and I am excited to explore Europe! I am always up for anything outdoors and will never say no to an adventure - I love hiking, swimming, surfing, sailing, camping, wine, eating and exploring. Most of all, I love sharing these experiences with new people ☺️
🔹🔹🔹
When I’m in Australia, you will find me swimming in the ocean or on the headland watching the whales. I am a marine biologist and I work in threatened species conservation. I have a special love for seals and seaweed (although the smell isn’t my favourite!) and am an advocate for the protection of our oceans.
I have spent time solo travelling in South America, and over the past few years I’ve been exploring more of South East Asia.
🔹🔹🔹
I am friendly and respectful, and would love to cook you a vegetarian/vegan meal to share 🥦 I am happy to share my local information with you about Australia, Sydney or Canberra!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The best way to get to know a place is to talk to the people who live there. I love being able to experience a snapshot of local life.
At the start of 2016 a friend and I organised a road trip up the east coast of Australia, from Canberra to Brisbane. We found some couchsurfers to take along the way and it was the start of my time in this beautiful community!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was lucky enough to live in Galapagos Islands and work with the National Park of Ecuador a few years ago. Experiencing first hand the pristine environment and incredible variety of endemic wildlife is definitely something I won't forget.
Teach, Learn, Share
TEACH:
Happy to help with teaching English and Aussie slang, and if you can give me some tips for my Spanish then that's even better!
LEARN:
I love to learn about the natural world and local history of the place I am in. Any knowledge, skill or language that you have to share I am ready to learn ☺️
SHARE:
I love cooking and I make pretty good Anzac Biscuits (using the recipe passed down from my great grandma of course!)
