About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Clear my head, cleanse my soul

ABOUT ME

Professional cook, loves me some couchsurfing (it's the only way to go), hitch-hiking, street performing, and other modes of adventurous, more sustainable travel.

PHILOSOPHY

Amor fati

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I artlessly insert couchsurfing into every conversation I have.

I usually travel and surf in the summer, work and host in the winter.

Interests

Travel, music, cooking, fishing, bikes, hydroponics, picking fruit and turning it into wine, DIYing pretty much anything I can't afford/don't want to pay for...

Music, Movies, and Books

Listening to mostly lo-fi/indie and acoustic at the moment; The Mounain Goats, Elliott Smith, John Vanderslice, Tom Waits, Joanna Newsom, Bonnie 'Prince' Billie, The Everybodyfields, Georges Brassens, Mofro, Roscoe Holcomb, St. Vincent, Iron and Wine...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hunting alligators with gator control back in Florida

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I've spent a few years working as a cook on and off; play banjo, guitar, and harmonica; been designing my own NFT hydroponics system, so I have some knowledge in that field; have made many many gallons of wine from plums, blackberries, apples, peaches, dandelion, pumpkins, ... even grapes;

I'd like to learn how to play fiddle, new languages and to improve my proficiency in the ones I speak (including English), and all kinds of random interesting things that are too many to list here (or that I don't yet know of).

As far as 'share' goes, I love being exposed to new music, movies, food, art, poetry, people, cities, weird little spots inside these cities that I wouldn't otherwise have found, etc., and I will gladly return the favor

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In
