Hi guys!

We’re Eliette and Ben.

Eliette: I’m originally from Strasbourg in France, but I've mostly lived outside of my home country in the past years. I've been using couchsurfing with my husband Ben, with whom I live in the UK. Together we've been lucky to use couchsurfing in lots of different places and meet wonderful people along the way.

Ben: I’m from Leeds in the UK, but live in London too! I love using Couchsurfing to meet interesting people from all over the world and share funny stories and get an insight into what life is like living where they do!

In 2022-2023, we travelled for 9 months and used couchsurfing in Turkey, Kurdistan, Iraq, Kuwait, India, Bangladesh and Pakistan, please feel free to ask us anything about those places!!

In 2019, Eliette surfed in Egypt, Lebanon, Spain and Scotland. She also hosted people from Egypt, the US and France when she was living in Cairo.

We are now back in London, where Eliette works for a charity and Ben studies international development.

We are living in a big flatshare and we can sadly only quite rarely host on CS - sorry about that. If you do wanna stay with us, do drop a line and add "free palestine" to your message so that we know you've read this! Thanks

Books: mostly French and German classical and modern literature + I try to read authors from the places I am travelling to - please recommend books to me :)

Eliette is happy to help with French and German, and would love to practice my Spanish and Arabic.

Ben is a great cook and loves cooking for multiple people, he will happily cook for you and your friends if you want him to (he's very good with levantine cuisine!) 😊 Eliette also have a wonderful recipe of cookies.
We're both eager to learn more about the local culture, food, language and music!! I'm especially fascinated by - and very interested in - Indian's culture, food and politics!

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

I would just want to chat with them about whatever topics their interested in, I'm a curious person and I simply love to speak about different topics and learn new things through the point of views of my interlocutor, and if they have the time I'd love them to show me around or give me some tips of what I can do in their town.
