About Me

The most important stuff goes here, right? The most important stuff is not "About Me" right now, instead it is:

1. Before you write a request, read the profile. ALL of BOTH the "About" and "My Home" sections. All, because it is pre-structured in such a way that the very impotant 'Additional Information' is ending up at the very bottom of the 2nd tab.

If you don't want to, don't write a request.

2. If you write a request, there is a very good chance I accept. Now please don't wait until the last moment to decide if you come and when, it's unfair to me and to other surfers. If you decide for a different host, be nice and cancel with me.

here begins the profile:

CURRENT MISSION

save fuel save lives travel slowly

ABOUT ME

Fan of "slow" living with a low impact and more time dedicated to being in tune with life.

PHILOSOPHY

Be attentive as much as possible. Rather than thinking of the changes the World needs, think about the changes/sacrifices I'm willing to make. Means: How much fuel is one of 9.000.000.000 on earth allowed to use for himself travelling?

In fact, there's a way to travel to the islands slowly by ferry: see http://www.navieraarmas.com

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because by the time the company walked out of their word to always stay non-profit, I already had my reputation built here.

Interests

playing or recording music, giving a lot of time to spaces where the non-designs of nature are visible more than the designs of man, meditate, biology as an amateur, natural sciences, math, computing, sea kayak, politics, health through food and soft exercise

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Terry Gilliam, Peter Greenway, Wim Wenders; Music: Allan Holdsworth, Steely Dan, Wishbone Ash, J.S.Bach, John Mc Laughlin, Birelli Lagrene, so many, but making music with intelligent people is what I like best. Books: Masanobu Fukuoka: The One Straw Revolution, Yongey Mingyur: The Joy of Living, Jane Liedloff: The Continuum Concept, Paul Watzlawick: How real is the Real? ..

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seen: 3000 people living in a spontaneous camp in the middle of nature for 2 weeks, without damaging it, with love for each other, without technology or organization. Everyone naked, no one thinking of sex (or at least, not as much as with dressed people). The human nature of the natural human.
Done: Kayaking from La Graciosa to La Alegranza 10hrs against a 5-6 wind in near-open-sea; 3 days crossing mountainrange and glacier in Jotunheimen, learning to just sit and watch my breath (still haven't learned it, but it's amazing alright!)

Teach, Learn, Share

Can share: my way of music, socialwork, homeschooling, living with very little, self-observance&-acceptance, sprouting, a lot of little things,
May learn: Ways to exercise body & keep healthy, gardening in practice, biology of my surroundings, music, a lot of little things
