About Me

CURRENT MISSION

always eat seconds!

ABOUT ME

Believer in relentless exploration. Love food, culture and urban exploring. After 7 years living in NYC, I'm currently on an open-ended journey as a digital nomad, working remotely (online marketing for a start-up) while traveling slowly across Europe, Asia & USA - one month and one city at a time. Super into people, places, and experiences!

PHILOSOPHY

"The point is to live everything. Live your questions now. Perhaps then, someday far in the future, you will gradually, without even noticing it, live your way into the answer." -Rainer Maria Rilke

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

i love to show new people around my city, especially favorite local spots and underground happenings they wouldn't normally discover as a visitor. i'm the go-to person for creating itineraries for my friends' out of town visitors.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Attending meetups & events, having wonderful conversations, giving/getting advice on message boards, and of course surfing! These experiences have been truly heartwarming & I am grateful to have this avenue to connect with so many wonderful people. I especially look forward to hosting surfers once I settle down in one place :-)

Cities I've surfed: Seoul, Kuala Lumpur, Chiang Mai, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Singapore, Amman. In the US: Hudson, Sag Harbor, Baltimore, Nashville, Miami, New Orleans, Puerto Rico.

Interests

I'm interested in learning as much as I can about the places I visit and getting a real sense of what it's like to live there. I seek out hole-in-the-wall spots, dives, local quirks and traditions, and anything you may not find in a guide book.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Craziest travel story: While going to visit a friend in Chisinau, Moldova, my friend and i got stuck for 8 hours on the border between Romania and Moldova, then hitchhiked with a Swiss family in their RV to Chisinau. After all that, our train broke down on the way back to Hungary!

Teach, Learn, Share

i can teach you how to cook real southern soul food (think sweet tea, biscuits and gravy, collard greens, black eyed peas, boiled peanuts). i'd love to learn how to cook a dish from your state, region, or country.
