Ali Ghamir is a press cartoonist specializing in international political cartoons, particularly events in the Middle East and North Africa. He has worked as a cartoonist for the news website of Al Jazeera Media Network (Aljazeera.net) and has published in several international newspapers such as Al-Quds Al-Arabi, Al-Araby Al-Jadeed, Le Monde, and Moyen-Orient. His cartoons have also been featured in numerous news or interactive TV programs, including Miraat Al Jazeera and "Interactive Bulletin," as well as the program "A Week in the World" on the French channel France 24. He has received several awards, including the 2021 Naji Al-Ali Palestine Award, and has organized and participated in various international and local exhibitions. Ali Ghamir has also attended conferences focusing on press cartoons, journalism, and media, such as the World Press Freedom Day conferences in Addis Ababa, The Hague, and Strasbourg. Additionally, as the President of the INK Association, a cultural association that greatly values the art of Press cartoons, he serves as its artistic director. The association is dedicated to the Women Cartoonists Fellowship program. It's worth mentioning that Ali Ghamir has developed teaching material that qualifies him to deliver training courses on the fundamentals of press cartooning. He has conducted training programs that have contributed to the graduation of over 60 cartoonists in Morocco, filling the gap in this field where such resources were previously lacking.
