Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I always loved to connect with people from other continents, countries and cultures. My family has a lot of foreign friends and so I grew up being surrounded and learning about all sorts of nationalities. That means I am extremely open minded and understanding. I just think that couchsurfing is a great way to connect some of my interests (meeting other people and travelling). I always wanted to have friends all over the world, as my parents do, and you never really know who your gonna meet. Maybe that's your future best friend, a lost relative or just a nice stranger passing by.

Interests

If you get to meet me, you'll find somebody with a kind of weird combination of interests. On the one hand I love sports, going out being active and see the world, but on the other hand I absolutely love being lazy, sitting in front of the TV, watching a TV show or a movie or just simply chill and read a good book (it can be soooo fascinating). But besides this, I am also really into science (especially chemistry) and I try to learn new thing and educate myself at least a little bit. I also recently discovered that I do like cooking and baking (but don't expect too much, I only just began and still have to learn a lot before I can get a Michelin Star) ^^

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
I pretty much listen to everything I can find, but some of my favorite genres include classical music, Irish folk, rock and pop. My absolute favorite Artists are Shawn Mendes (by far the best singer and loveliest person), Panic! at the disco, Ed Sheeran, Bastille, OneRepublic and Pentatonix.

Books:
I absolutely love reading Fantasy books, love stories and historical books. My favourite book would be 'If I stay', but I also read things like the Outlander Series, the uhtred saga, game of thrones, five feet apart and of course twilight (I'm sorry but it was trendy at that time). But that's just a veeeeery small amount of what I've read. I think I can't even remember all of the books.
Anyways, I am always open for a new suggestion.

Movies:
Well, I am more about TV Shows than Movies (Netflix got me ^^), but there are still some awesome movies I've seen. By far my favorites would be Les Miserables and The greatest showman (I know that's just musicals, but I love them so much). But I don't just watch musicals, I also love Romances, Science fiction, Horror and old classical movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I've ever seen, just happened quite recently. I went to an australian Island called Kangaroo Island (of course) and it was just such a beautiful and magical place. I've never been out of Europe before and that was just soo different. The landscapes were so beautiful and unique, I just loved it there!
But I am only starting to collect good stories. I am a young backpacker who just arrived in Australia not that long ago, so watch out world, here I come :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I could try to teach you a little bit of German and more specific the Bavarian dialect. I can tell you about Bavaria as well. Besides, I love to share good stories while sitting together and sharing a meal and I absolutely love to listen to other people's stories as well.

What I Can Share with Hosts

If I would be lucky to stay for a night or two (or maybe longer if we can't share all of our stories ^^), obviously I would do my best to be as easy of a guest as possible. You won't even notice I am there if you don't want to, just that some fairy might have cleaned up. I don't like to leave all of my stuff behind and make people clean up after me, that's just rude. So instead, I would clean up after myself, get myself something to eat, wash my dishes, etc. If you'd like, I would be more than happy to help you a little in your household too (I mean what else could I do in return for the kindness of letting a stranger stay in your house ^^). I would also try my best and cook or bake something for you (maybe even something traditionally german) and of course, I would love to share my stories with you and get to know about your life and culture.
