Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've been a part of the Couchsurfing community for four or five years now. Admittedly I'm kind of on and off as far as keeping up with it goes. We've hosted lots of couch surfers in our home in Denver, and I've couch surfed all over the world. I think it is an incredible opportunity to network and create relationships between people who's paths would have otherwise never crossed. I think it is usually a beautiful exchange of culture and a rare look into the experience of someone else. I love it.
Interests
I sing and play several instruments in several musical projects. I had a band that was somewhat successful for a few years and brought me all over the United States, Canada and some of Europe on tours. That has kind of slowed down for now, but I am still pursuing music with a new band called New Fiction and a kind of hip hop/pop project called Histrionics. I love to write and am currently finishing up my first book. I love photography and am kind of always practicing because I’m still pretty new to it. I play soccer for an indoor team for fun, and I love the sport. I'm only good enough to do it recreationally, but I love it! I love to run and have run several marathons. I read a lot. I love beer and home-brew a little myself. Most of all, I love to travel and I love to meet people.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite music is kind of hard to qualify. I'm into so many different things that I'd hate to even try to list it. But if you're interested, I'd love to talk about it.
I love to read. I’m very into philosophy, history, political science, and some fiction. My favorite book is probably The Stranger by Albert Camus, and Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy, oddly enough.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A very friendly place to stay, good food, a local's experience in Denver, a ton of new friends in the city, a tour of the local beer, a great conversation about philosophy, politics, theology, history, or probably nearly anything else, rides or advice on getting around the city, camping, hiking, tubing, outdoors stuff in general in the summer, access to concerts and live music, I don't know, ask!
