About Me

“They should tell you when you’re born: have a suitcase heart, be ready to travel.”

This world is beyond beautiful, and I am amazed by the variety of landscapes, experiences, and people in it. I want to see and do it all. I yearn for adventure, and my position as adventure buddy comes with the highest references.

I grew up in the Pacific Northwest, and was living in my beloved San Francisco for years before recently returning home. I adore the west coast, and my soul belongs beside the sea, on the lake, or over the ocean. I'm a city-living girl who escapes to the wilderness the moment the weekend comes around.

My restless spirit has seen a few slivers of the world and all day I dream about where else I want to go (spoiler alert: everywhere). My heart wants roots while my mind wants wings, though, and for me, travel is more a state of mind than a list of countries. There is just as much as wonder and intrigue around the corner as there is across the world, and making memories is more about how you look around than how far you go.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've traveled before, but I'm just getting started with couchsurfing. I'm here to meet new people and to make the world a little smaller and a little more friendly. I love cross-cultural connections, as they open minds and open hearts, and I want to add as much joy as possible to the earth through relationships. Let's stay up all night exploring and debating and drinking in life.

(I can't host at the moment, but hoping to get in a place very soon where I can.)

Interests

Biking, running, hiking, backpacking, camping, sewing, embroidery, reading, film, food, meditation, yoga, waterskiing, podcasts, karaoke, animals, boating

I'm interested in the arts as a means of communication and of creating compassion and understanding across cultures, and how appreciation of, and involvement in, our cultural heritage can help build communities locally and globally.
