About Me
I'm Laura, a student trying to balance a love for travelling and my bachelor's degree :))
Last year, I jumped into this world of travelling during my gap year - in which I decided to travel in Asia and Europe for 7 months - and I wasn't able to stop every since. I found out that the world is full of adventures just waiting to be lived and whenever I have a chance to travel - from small weekend getaways to big backpacking adventures - I go!
Couchsurfing has been helping me a lot in this journey and I'm looking forward to meeting more like-minded people and travel through your adventures as well :))
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m on Couchsurfing because I don’t just want to travel around the world without knowing anything about the culture and how people actually live on those places. I like to fully immerse myself in the lifestyle and habits of each and every city I set foot at, and I see in Couchsurfing the perfect opportunity to have this cultural immersion, while, at the same time, allowing me to save a bit of money 😅 (broke backpacker style)
Interests
Music has always been a passion of mine, having learned to play the piano since I was as little as 10 years old, and later, the guitar. I also love to sing, especially in group (I sing in two different choirs and on a band).
I also love photography: it’s such a gorgeous art, being able to freeze moments in frames of light and I’m always looking for those exact moments and smiles while travelling.
Reading, walking and hiking, spending time outdoors, hanging around with friends are also activities that fulfil my heart of happy memories, which I also hope to get the chance to form with you :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was able to enhance and cultivate a friendship which is also the most meaningful relationship of my life with my parents while travelling, 10.000 km away from each other.
Teach, Learn, Share
Everything I’ve learned while travelling is an open book :))
I love card and board games, and I’m a big soccer fan (Benfica!!!) so I would love to share these passions of mine with you!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I would love to talk about my own country, Portugal, and I can teach you a bit of my own mother tongue, Portuguese. I am tidy and I always clean up after myself so I can also offer a “stress-free” couch stay :))
I can also cook, if needed, and I am not super picky. I am also okay with not spending a lot of time together
