Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My income from social security plus my meager earnings is insufficient to pay for motel rooms, so I'm couchsurfing around the country. I've traveled extensively in 46 states so far and love to meet local people. I just need a place to stay for a day or so until my dispatcher finds another load for me to transport.

Music, Movies, and Books

Celtic Thunder, Leonard Cohen, Hayley Westenra, James Brown, and too many others to list. My Google Drive account is nearly filled with many gigs of music videos. Thank God for YouTube and 56.com.

The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran is my favorite book, but I like many others too, although because of Google Books and Wikipedia, I confess my voracious appetite for reading has been supplanted by the internet.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Raised my three children from infancy through adulthood as a single parent after being awarded sole custody by the courts, and supporting them without child support by working two full time and two part time jobs.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach lots of disaster response skills (learned from my decades of disaster response volunteer activities and credentials from federal, state, and local governmental agencies, as well as national charitable organizations.

I am not too old to learn -- what do you have to teach me? I am a Mensan and realized long ago that the smarter you are, the more voracious your appetite for learning.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am known as an excellent "skip tracer" -- I have an uncanny ability to find nearly anyone you need found (for legitimate purposes only -- sorry --- no stalking, hit contracts, or harassment) such as old friends from school, former flames, deadbeat parents, etc.
