I'm from a small town called Worcester. It's about an hour's drive from Cape Town. I now live in South Africa's economic hub: Johannesburg. It's a crazily vibrant place, experiencing many challenges, with most of its beauty found in its people. I am lucky enough to live in one of its older parts, with established trees and greenery. I live in an oldie (by Johannesburg's standards) that I'm fixing up.

The last 20 years mostly have been about work and study, but I also made time for reading a lot of history and a healthy (small) dose of philosophy. While my curiosity gets some kicks from legal research, it won't allow me to focus solely on it.

I travel mostly solo, in many ways, which leads me to one of my greatest contradictions (and there are many):
The world is a wonderful place; people are its greatest treasure.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I have done enough solo travelling, living in relatively austere and cold hotels, to know that couchsurfing provides a better way of doing things, to see and experience places and their people. Chances are I'd be busy on a laptop or out and about most of the time, but I'd love to see and experience something of your world.
