About Me

Just moved to Vancouver from Amsterdam and looking to meet some people! Please read the "My Home" section and let me know if you're okay with it - not the perfect conditions for hosting at the moment.

Avid hitchhiker and traveler. I'm always eager to go somewhere else - basically anywhere - and am not good at being at one spot for too long. Right now, I am finishing up my Masters thesis while hopping around North America. I'm a very curious person who's always up for new things and spontaneous activities. I don't need much to be happy and consider myself to be pretty uncomplicated.

Now building up Trail of Voices (check it out at www.facebook.com/trailofvoices) - my boyfriend Jon and I want to share stories from everyone we meet on the road - those who pick us up hitchhiking, host us, and cross paths with us, because everyone has a story tell. Check it out and leave a "like" if you want to be in my good books and quadruple your chances of being hosted (yes, you can buy me!).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Thanks to Couchsurfing, I had lots of great experiences with great people. CS shows that you certainly don't need a lot of money to have a wonderful and unforgettable time travelling - quite the opposite, you experiene a lot more and get to know far more interesting people when you don't.

Interests

Unsurprisingly, I'm addicted to traveling - especially to hitchhiking, couchsurfing and to the atmosphere in hostels and at airports. Moreover, I LOVE to laugh, mostly about sarcastic comments, and I'm into music, veganism and politics. And I love to get to know people, doesn't matter if they're absolutely similar or totally different.

Music, Movies, and Books

Most of the time, I'm listening to Electro, like: Chet Faker, Disclosure, Moderat, Flight Facilities, Jan Blomqvist, ... However, I enjoy Indie or Rock just as much (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Phoenix, The Kooks, Kasabian, ...)

But nevertheless, I'm open to (nearly) everything and like to listen to whatever is local at the place I visit.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Winning the HungaroHitch 2016 - I am now an award-winning hitchhiker :D

Crossing the US hitchhiking from Boston to San Francisco via the South

Hitchhiked in more than 30 countries

Teach, Learn, Share

By now, I have the best tips for hitchhiking! Otherwise - languages I guess? And food, drinks etc. of course!
