Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm currently travelling across America with one backpack (personal challenge), volunteering in various places and visiting states I've always wanted to visit. In Texas and Oregon I'm volunteering on 2 family farms doing maintenance and looking after animals.

Couchsurfing I'm hoping can be a 'filler' for me between volunteering locations.

Looking for a small space where I can sleep, offer any help you need whether it's cleaning, DIY or otherwise, and maybe cook together before moving on!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - Massive jazz fan as I play Sax, so Dexter Gordon, Jimmy Forrest, Illinois Jacquet. I also love electronic music including Com Truise, Squarepusher, Aphex Twin. Some rock too - Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains etc.

For movies it's all about the 1997 Michael Douglas classic The Game.

For books, my all time favourite is Alamut by Vladimir Bartol, a beautiful 1920s read.
I'm currently reading A Walk in the Woods by Bill Bryson which I have with me on this trip.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Converted my garden back in the UK into an allotment space. On my return I'll have lots of root vegetables to share with friends and family and of course, myself!
