About Me
Firstly, the dreaded combo of living both at my parent-home and a regulated university residence makes hosting out-of-my-hands out of the question at the moment. Soz.
I'm 20 years old and my shaky starting-out with the life of a medical student at Stellenbosch University has only just started stabilising. I am very much liking the whole Dingens, but I have no idea what to do with my degree - I don't think I want to be a doctor.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Wake-up calls, learning new skills to be more useful and forming new experiences to be nostalgic about - the old ones are getting pretty worn out - have become my hobby. Included are getting to know languages, music and musical instruments, cultures and people, random skills and road signs, skylines and coastlines, home-smells.
Living with locals and experiencing their world from their perspective has, in my experience, been by far the most effective way of getting to know a place's character. Couchsurfing seems to be focused on facilitating just that.
