Overview
About Me
Please read the entire ABOUT ME🪴
Born and raised in Iran. I moved to the US in 2019 for grad school and started to explore the country as well.
I identify as queer and go by they/them pronouns.
I am not into visiting the most famous places in the best cities, and would rather go to cafes with more regulars, listen to stories and learn hundreds of things I might not know of.
Currently, I live in Seattle and I’d like to get to know more travelers from different parts of the world.
I dabble in and out of different things, make DIY furnitures and decoratives, and paint.
I care about all who has feelings! I care about the oppressed ones more, so zero tolerance for racism, sexism, agism, fat-phobia, Islamophobia, etc.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
A lot of people around me do not get into random conversations; mainly because most of them are so engaged in their jobs or in their relationships that making new friends is not a “concern”. But, for me it is. I have been living with roomates for years and expanded my relationships exponetially by getting to know friends of friends of my friends.
I want to meet with new people, see their cities and go to the places they recommend. Also, I don’t like to support apps that already have billions of customers and block local businesses, so would be glad to pay for where I stay:)
I’d be happy to host you if you tell me the name of a song that you can listen to over and over and over ;) (just to make sure you read through my profile and know about me a little bit🙂

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to different genres of music but there are bands and songs I can listen to over and over and over, like Tamino Amir, Heydoo Heydari, Moody Moosavi, Radiohead and some single tracks.
I like European Cinema better than Hollywood, movies from Bergman open gates inside me, fill me with anger, with sorrow, with agony and sometimes happiness. I watch movies mostly to experience moments I might not be able to experience in my short life.
I reads about feminism, socialism, people’s stories, plastic recycling and art!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have changed a lot and am amazed by all these changes! I have been actively practicing sympathy, to be able to understand people even if we have not shareed common experiences!
Teach, Learn, Share
I used to teach English to kids while learning French for a couple of years but forgot alot of it:(
I “recreate”, make things with new functionalities from things that cannot hold their primmery functionalies anymore.
BTW, I have been working on plastic recycling in grad school at School of Packaging at Michigan State University. That’s the most relavant topic I can work on as a person with an engineering background who tries to limit their waste and avoid using plastics!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I would like to spend time with my guests, listen to their stories and socialize with them. Sometimes I like to cook with/for my my guests, to share tastes with them.
