About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To explore, to broaden and to share the horizons. Currently preparing for trip to Australia
ABOUT ME
I am self-sufficient female adventurer with serious background and interests. Usually hard-working professional, but with very green backpackers soul who from time to time enjoy livingston life style. I was born near the sea (Jurmala literary means seaside),and my home here so far always has been place of return.
When I was young geography student, I had the fantastic opportunity to travel around Caucasus, Pamir, Isikkul etc. for trekking and white water rafting. During 90-ties I discovered America and Europe, and I know that everything can happen everywhere... good and bad. But people are the same anywhere - if you are nice and friendly! I am a bit older now, but still enjoy wonders of life and active lifstile
PHILOSOPHY
Dreams must come true - never too late to be happy, nerver too old to enjoy the wonders of life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
For stability everyone needs two legs - I believe that good CS has to do both - to host others and to stay with others to share ideas etc. My house in Jurmala always has been open for multinational travelers who are sharing the values of independence, loyalty, tolerance. Welcome!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Although I have experience as a host and as a surfer, I am still a beginner. Nevertheless I think this is the best social network that ever has been created. I would never be able meet so nice and interesting people without CS, especially, traveling in Brazil. Looking forward to inspiring meetings in Australia!
Interests
Nature,wild-life, sports (skiing, rafting, sailing, diving, sea-kayaking etc). Literature. Meeting people. World politics. Law. Development issues.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Once upon a time I was assigned to create internet portal in very remote region of Kyrgyzstan... for farmers who never ever have seen a computer! How to convince "aksakals" that this is something useful for them? But then we discovered similarities between internet and irrigation... Portal is the same water reservior! And we did it!
Teach, Learn, Share
I believe in sharing,discussing... not teaching... even being a university lecturer:)... would like to become student again
What I Can Share with Hosts
Out of season time you could get your own private room. However, summer in Jurmala and in my house is very busy, my sons family is coming and then I can host occasionally, mainly those who are hosting as well. Then tent in the garden can be an alternative option.
