About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Pedal our bicycles around the USA

ABOUT ME

We're Bryan and Debi. We are currently migrating south on our Surly Long Haul Truckers! 2 years ago we sold our stuff, resigned from our jobs, and got on our bicycles in Vermont and headed south to Mexico. We biked for 10 months from September 2009-June 2010 pedaling over 4,500 miles. Now we're out for another adventure with the USA. We began on October 8, 2011. Our route is fluid and there is no end date. We are so looking forward to meeting new people and experiencing the tiny corners of our beautiful country. We strive to live simply and fully.

PHILOSOPHY

Keep it simple

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We hosted some great couples when we were living in Northern Vermont. Now we're on the road and looking to surf occasionally. We love the idea of sharing dwellings and getting informed about the local scene wherever we stay.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We've had some terrific couchsurfing experiences. One memorable time we stayed with Emi and Farro in Jackson, MS. We were gearing up to take a bus with our bicycles to escape the cold of late fall 2009. They ended up leaving for Houston, TX the next day and we got a ride with them. It was such a great coincidence and so fun to get to know them better.
