Hey guys nice to meet you! My name is Mathias or cj as my friends call me.

I travelled quite a bit already, but I still enjoy visiting new places.
I am layed back, enjoy sitting in a bar and having a couple of beers or tea. But I also like to do sports or other activities!

I like sightseeing, but I am more interested in meeting new people, learning about culture and food and just having a good time together.
I rather collect moments than monuments :)

I hope we can meet and have a drink or a meal and a chat together :-) I will invite you 😊😊

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Since I live in this tiny village in the middle of nowhere, nobody wanted to surf my couch yet.
I surfed some couches and went to some CS meetings. So much fun!!! I love the community!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived for 2 month on a self supporter farm community in the Swiss alps. I helped building a new roof, insulated by sheep's wool. We ate fresh made cheese and our own bread. Slept in yurts and went part of the community.

Hiked and slept on the great wall of China solo.

Heard coyotes howling in Canada.

Saw the Pacific and Atlantic Ocean at the same time, Volcán Barú, Panama.

Sailed through the panama canal

Run a Marathon, Freiburg, Germany.

Dived the 20m (65ft.) cliff in Cenote Ik Kil, Mexico.

Traveled from Israel via Jordan-Egypt-Sudan-Ethiopia-Kenia to Uganda by public bus :)

Was cave diving in Venezuela, and wreck diving in Egypt

Drove my motorbike through Vietnam from South to North

Got almost robbed in the night in Uganda, and again in Madagaskar. Always got away...

Got my cab shot in a getaway in Caracas, Venezuela.

Participated in the 2025 Ironman 70.3 Triathlon in Goa, India. 1,9 km ocean swim, 90 km bike, 21,1 km run :) Time: 6h 20min

Longest period of travelling: 4,5 years all over the world. Total time travelled: aprox. 6 years

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach you some handy man skills. Or we could speak German or Spanish together. If you want to learn how to juggle I can give you some tips, too.
