I have lived in 32 states, 5 countries and I enjoy meeting new people and discovering new adventures. My last adventures took place at the pipeline dispute at Standing Rock (2016), a French ZAD (Zone of Defense - 2018) and I am presently riding up Highway 1 writing a electronic book about the experience.

In the Past, I was an administrative assistant temp in the Silicon Valley area for years, and am a retired college employee. In North Dakota, I was the executive officer for the charity militia Veterans Stand for Standing Rock.

I've owned and operated three small businesses: an ePublishing House, an origami stationery retail e-commerce and freelanced my admin skills.

Fortunately, My life is stranger than fiction…. :-D

I was conceived in Madrid, Spain, but I was born and raised in the Air Force. My grandfather was an Army accountant and helped developed the Air Force’s first 10-year budget. My father helped develop the Saudi’s first Air Force base in the 1980s. To continue the legacy, I was one of 1-of-8 who set up Space Force. We gave them a 2 year budget, then Covid hit and they are back to operating out of the Air Force budget in year 3. I haven’t been paid in 12 months and now there is a hiring hold since February - so I haven’t been given my base detail.

I make lemonade out of lemons, so I went to college for a paralegal certificate and got financial aid to live on. This road trip is my summer vacation.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I’ve been traveling up the coast following Highway 1 and writing an electronic book of my trip. However, all the parks have either been insanely expensive or not accepting tent camping. Pre-Covid, it was $8 to $10 to camp, now it is $30-$55. I’m out of that and trying to figure out how to continue.

Then I remembered couch-surfing and came to see places to stay. I can either tent in the back yard or stay in a guest room.

Well, I've done many unusual and amazing things...

Just to start, I stood with the world's only private astronaut for photographs. On top of that, I've also worked for Veterans for Standing Rock in an effort to protect their Water Protectors from the DALP pipeline. It was one of the best things I've ever done.

From Dinosaur digging in Canada to a Career Fair at Virgin Galactic; from Virginia City Silvermines to Coventry Cathedral's saturation bombing; from Indian reservations to civil engineering I've lived a very full life and have plenty of stories to share.
